Final Count

Hey folks, as we're heading into the final days of the KS I have plotted out the maps that will be included in the final book. From the maps included and unlocked we have an amazing total of 30 maps (fingers crossed we unlock the Wizard Tower) and 16 combination maps with two books. These combinations will create a small town center, a bustling dockyard and harbor, a dangerous shoreline on a dense jungle, a long - potentially 99 inches long winding road (yup, 3 maps can be placed in a line with the combination)! 

Backerkit

Once the KS ends in a few days the backerkit will open up and you'll be able to manage your pledges upgrading or adding as you need to. We've unlocked so many books there is a small surprise for you waiting in the backerkit phase. 

Dungeon Fog V5.

All the maps featured in Epic Battlemaps Volume 1, will be generated in the latest version of Dungeon Fog - version 5. This is their most advanced version yet, and means that your maps will be even more beautiful with full power of 'Fog V5. It also means our maps will be even more beautiful so it's a win all the way to the table (virtual or real). 

Discord FTW

We will keep you updated here on KS whilst we are finishing up the map and shipping out the books. A full survey will go out via KS onc the project is done to gather all your details. However, if you want immediate access to information why not join our discord server: discord.gg/greatgm We have over 5000 TTRPG gaming enthusiasts just waiting to share their ideas and give input into your game - should you want it. And I'll be keeping that community apprised of the maps as we go.

This has been phenomenal! We never thought the KS would get to this size! You have truly made it clear what you like, and we know that you will like the maps when you get them. I continue to use the sample books we printed in my games because they do so much of the work that I don't have time to do. 

I'd also like to thank Landon for his updates that he posts on the project. It has been fun seeing those updates change so quickly over the past month!

2021- Happy New Year!

Hello folks! Well, we all leveled up and made it into 2021. Our book Epic Battlemaps has leveled up even more with so many stretch goals unlocked it looks as if we're going to hit 30 maps before this thing is over. I'm super excited for this as we can now include stuff that was deemed 'nice to have' but which is now 'included' thanks to your support.

I have never been much of a KS trend follower, and this is our second KS which is why I guess so many folks reached out to us asking for cross promotion. I don't know if this is something that YOU want or like so please let me know if you do NOT like it. Below is a link:

 Tattoos 

These folks reached out to me. They're doing an amazing book containing tattoos for your character PC characters. Magic tattoos that do all kinds of cool things. They are fully funded and will be finishing up at around the same time that we will be. The illustrations look great, and I like the idea of allowing for these wonderful designs to be added to your character. 

Coming up

Now that we know what we're aiming for in terms of maps, we're going full steam into the production of the maps. Dungeon Fog recently went through a major upgrade in terms of their software and we're in talks with them on how to make the most of their new tech. So over the next few weeks we'll be releasing even more information on the internal layout of the book. Watch this space!

A little Cheer

As we enter into the major festive period of the seasons holidays, from the whole team at How to be a great GM and M3H Publishing, we just want to thank you all for your support thus far!

Looking forward

We will be onhand to answer any questions you might have, and are working todays unlocking more stretch goals. But why do we have stretch goals and not just launch with all the goodies included? 

The simple reason is cost and weight. We aim to keep the cost as low as possible whilst ensuring as much is included as possible. The more books we print, the cheaper each print becomes. We direct that saving back into the book, adding more maps, improving the binding size and so on. 

So share the project with friends as the more books we sell the more maps we can include for the same reward level! 

Next Maps

The next two maps we are hoping to include are expansion maps for existing maps in the book. This means if you have two books you can put these maps next to another book's  maps for even more playing space!

EPIC BATTLEMAPS - DONE AND DUSTED

Hey there!

Epic Battlemaps blew past it's funding goal in the first five hours of launch and as we are nearing our 48th hour we have already unlocked TWO of the stretch goals. This is more than we could have hoped for! 

What is next?

As we continue to grow, we'll continue to unlock stretch goals. These will be in the form of extra maps being added to the book and some other bits and pieces that we feel will add tremendous value to the product. 

Because we are so amazed by your support, we'll be releasing a special 'Winter' map next week exclusive to the backers as a digital download so you can use it on your games over the festive season.
